They are saying on the Thrive Forums there will be ICS support.

I am careful not to say we will get it though...in the US they have Honeycomb 3.2 now, and my tablet is on 3.1, and it is fully updated according to Toshiba's update utility.

I may root it to ICS if Toshiba does not push it out to us but there is a chance we will get it.

Great tablet Mr. Larry..pick one up! A little on the chunky side (Perinineum??????) but the chunkyness is justified in my books with all the ports and easily replaceable battery.

Just missed a $429.99 for the 32 GB model at Newegg the day before yesterday. Now I'm watching for a Black Friday deal somewhere.

I just got the 16GB model and popped a 16GB SD card in the slot for all my pictures and video.

Sorry to bump this but if anybody sees the16GB model on sale this weekend could they post it here (I will as well for those interested).

I still can get a partial refund under Best Buys price policy if the price drops and I would give it a shot if they drop this weekend.

Thanks guys!

My 16GB brand new Thrive tablet suffers from the broken glass symptom...barely a month after Xmas...

I haven't dropped it, no exposition to temperature changes... there is several people on the net that have the same issue. Just by holding it to plug-in the power cable in...CRACK!

The glass used on the AT100 (thrive in the USA) is NOT gorilla glass, it's weak & cheap glass.
The crack I got is going the full lenght of the tablet...the screen still works, but for safety reasons I don't use the device anymore.

Replacement part is $160 (it's a combo glass & bezel)
Toshiba repair is $290 (LOL, it's almost the price of a new device ridiculous)

Toshiba is in denial and won't do anythign for any of the thrive users that have the issue....
don't get me wrong, the tablet is sweet....just bitter-sweet now...a $400 paper weight...

Yeah I saw your situation in your other thread...I'll have to be careful not to crack the screen (but to be honest, I have not been too careful with it so far so knock on wood).
