Cheapest Smartphone?

I'd recommend the Galaxy S Vibrant. I've found it between $120 and $160 depending on condition. It's got a better, bigger screen than the LG Optimus One, and the processor is 66% faster- it's a noticeable increase in performance comparing the two.

On Kijiji, most of the Samsung Galaxy S ones I see are way over $200 so not sure what ones you guys are looking at.

There's one local one for $150, though, but I think that's an exception. I send a msg about it so we'll see...

I wasn't really seriously looking into getting one right now but I'd like to.

I want one running Android 2.3 so would that smartphone run that?

With Cyanogen7 I can overclock my Optimus One to almost 800MHz and that also gives it Gingerbread which turns the Optimus into a whole new phone. I have seen them go on Ebay for under $100 and even new they can be had for $120. They are very easy to unlock and root as well. I was not in love with my phone until I put Cynaogen on it and now I cannot stress enough how much I like it.

I run the HSPA on Koodo and my phone is quite fast as to Internet speeds. I get 13188kbps down and 1948kpbs up average with my home internet and 5685kbps down and 413kbps up while mobile. I'd say my speed is far more than adequate.

No i meant my phone. The AWS version can do 2G with rogers. If you're not doing data its a great phone for rogers.

Believe me Cheator, if your phone was HSPA it wouldn't be for sale anymore, I would have jumped ALL over it. To me, data is one of the main reasons to use a smartphone though.
