My System Specs

Default Optimus Woes...
Hey all. Just got my Lenovo Y470 yesterday and today im playing around with its gaming ability.... or lack thereof?

Playing TF2.... all settings set to lowest, resolution 1366x768, multicore rendering on, FOV = 90...
Framerates are skipping around making the game unplayable. it goes from nice and smooth 120 fps down to 15-20 and Often.

Help?

Edit: Recent drivers from nvidia are already installed, game is configured to use the GT550m...

Edit 2: BF:BC2 does it too. Dipping from 60fps (everything on low) to 15-20 then back.

/interesting, a complete fresh install seems to have improved it quite a bit thus far...

i know my y570 had similar issues. Sometimes it was related to the power management. In my case it's the stupid cooling solution used in the Y series. (1 HSF for both the GPU and CPU)
