Default Need help with batteries, please.

Example 1) 6.8v/3820 mAh NP-FV70 at The source

Example 2) 8.4V/2060mAh, Sony NP-FV70 Battery Pack, Sony Battery, SIG Electronics

Need help understanding the importance of v and mAh, also need to get a laptop battery too if there are some good quality online sites to buy from?

voltage needs to be consistent with the laptop's requirements, mAh is simply capacity, the higher the better.

What kind of laptop do you have? Note that some models of Sony laptops cannot use 3rd party batteries due to a BIOS lockout.

Skymtl, laptop is a Pavilion g4-1137ca, battery part 593553-001 6cell or 593554-001 9cell. The NP-FV70 is for a sony HDR CX130 camcorder.
