voltage needs to be consistent with the laptop's requirements, mAh is simply capacity, the higher the better.

Ive bought my current batteries from this seller:

http://stores.ebay.ca/loresocomputers

I bought a 12-cell battery for my laptop for $51.99 + 4.99 exp shipping + taxes. I just bought it about 3 weeks ago. They also do local pick up in Markham, ON.

What kind of laptop do you have? Note that some models of Sony laptops cannot use 3rd party batteries due to a BIOS lockout.
