Anyone know how much they will retail for out of curiosity?

Quoted from Voodooextreme:

The Razer Blade is a 17” gaming laptop that delivers incredible performance and a revolutionary user interface in a sleek, portable form factor. It features a fast Intel® Core™ i7 processor and a high performance NVIDIA GeForce® graphics processor designed in a lightweight aluminum chassis. The revolutionary Switchblade User Interface, found next to a full-size keyboard, was designed from the ground up to enhance gaming experiences and provide more control at the gamer’s fingertips. It features 10 adaptive tactile keys and a multi-touch LCD panel that can also display in-game information. And at just 0.88 inches thin and only weighing 6.97lbs, the Razer Blade is the world’s first true gaming laptop.

I thought they were originally planning to launch an affordable SFF gaming netbook. Not this overpriced crap in an over saturated niche market.

Andy August 26, 2011 11:56 AM

I also wouldn't consider a 17" laptop portable ... no matter how thin it is.

Keywork August 26, 2011 12:24 PM

Sweet merciful Jesus..... $2800??!!

Neolithium_Wpg August 26, 2011 12:30 PM

$2800 and the asshats couldn't include an SSD as stock?

Supergrover August 26, 2011 12:36 PM

While I agree with the above comments, it is pretty thin and I do like the touchscreen for info, would I buy one? Hell no

But yeah disappoint

Neolithium_Wpg August 26, 2011 12:44 PM

If it were $1000 cheaper, I'd probably get one. But it's not remotely worth close to 3 grand for me.

It's cool and all, but not revolutionary. Lacking in quite a bit of specs that asus already has them beat, sure their laptops are massive but they're good at what they do :l
