why in the hell did they liquidate them so cheap, they would have probaby still sold out for 200-250. hp should have just just sold these at 250 to begin with at a small loss like sony did with the ps3, people would have bought them and eventually they would pull a profit( acoording to wiki these cost around 310 to make for hp)

It's likely cheaper for them to recall all the tablets and dump them in a landfill and issue refunds to all the keepers. They get out of paying millions of dollars of taxes that way.

Damn you guys. The wedding I attended yesterday prevented me from jumping on this in time. All sold out in my area. Would have loved to get one and stick Android on it eventually. :(

The build in SkypeOut capabilies are pretty awesome. I can call any cell phone or landline from this thing using wifi. Although I have yet to figure out how to call other Skype users.

HP Shopping Canada still has they but didn't lower the price. Anybody know about their price matching rules? I know they won't match with other sites but would they give a refund to somebody who bought it at full price?

Don't worry, we'll see a lot of these on RFD within a week or two once most people get their orders and try to flip them for double or triple what they paid, most likely (and hopefuly) to no avail, forcing them to drop the prices down or out right keep them

It isn't a bad tablet. Just not near as polished as an iPad. With some sort WebOS could have been a pretty good operation system. But it seems too rushed on the TouchPad. It will definitely be an amazing decide once we get Android on it.
