I was lucky enough to only have the device for 2 days, so I could return it to Futureshop for a full refund. I feel bad for early adopters who are out though.

I know webosinternals got ubuntu running it don't know about windows.

I have 2 hopes going forward.

1) we get document editing and a rep

2) when HP splits its pc portion palm is reborn and webOS will once again return from the dead. I don't see licensing or about takeover can succeed, would take too much time to reboot again. Oddly enough the HP support guy I talked to today said he was hoping for the same thing.

I was on Precentral and see that HP is doing a fire sale... Best Buy Canada and Futureshop are selling them off at $99 for 16 and $149 for 32 GB.

HP 16GB TouchPad with Wi-Fi : WebOS Tablets - Best Buy Canada

HP 32GB TouchPad with Wi-Fi : WebOS Tablets - Best Buy Canada

Sad... but some will snap them up with hopes that WebOS will still get some love.

I snapped it up on hopes someone will be able to root it soon and install Android. Honestly this OS is the worst thing I've used in years.

I'm just trying to see what I personally could/would use it for. So far I still enjoy reading my novels paperback vs on a screen, I have my computer at home and smart phone when i'm out...

From what I've heard it will likely be a few months before they have anything usable for the TouchPad.
