My System Specs

Default Comp. Sci. Laptop

I will be attending university in September, going into computer science and hoping to specialize in game development. I'll need a new laptop with decent battery life for classes, and no more than 15.6" in size. Playing games isn't very important since I have a desktop, but I'm not sure what kind of performance is needed for game development and programming. I would also like to keep it as low-budget as possible (under $1000 for sure). Any suggestions?

I don't know any laptops off the top of my head, but try and find something with a nvidia quadro GPU to help with CAD and such if you're planning on doing game development
