Need a good laptop under $500

Need a laptop for university.

- 14" - 15"
- Under $500 ideally.
- Decent battery life
- Some 3D abilities (think Sims 3)

Any ideas ?

I'm thinking i3 maybe i5 if it's cheap. Maybe wait for the new AMD fusion ?
