Inspiron 15R or other 15.6"
In the market for a 15.6" laptop for general use and mild gaming (old stuff and SCII). Don't care if it has to be gaming on low settings as long as it is smooth. Only looking at latest processors (no first gen i3/i5 or any amd based system other than llano based). Keeping price to max $550, but less is better as its only for occasional use and when I am away from home. I am looking at the Inspiron 15R with 2nd gen i3-2310 or i5-2410 and integrated hd 3000 graphics. I found a deal for the i5 version for $530. Anyone have any experience with the 15R? I have been out of the laptop loop for a while...how is Dell now?
Another option with stronger graphics would be for a llano based system, but it seems like the A8 versions are going to be priced around the $600+ mark and I have yet to see a review of how well the A6's cut down graphics are going to perform.
When is a good time to buy a laptop?...is back to school timeframe a time for good prices or are they higher since they will sell anyway?
