Word of caution with OS6 for the 9700 bold as it will speed some aspects up however it will severely slow down others (like the web browser), unless this got fixed.

eh. i don't really use the web browser on my phone that much so it's not a deal breaker. Besides it's a work phone so i shouldn't be using it for surfing anyway.

I wouldn't use it to be honest. It'll suck up your free RAM like crazy. Right now on my 9780, OS6 is taking up 184.9mb JUST by itself, and browser is taking 91.6mb. Since the 9700 only has 256mb of RAM...I don't think you would want OS6.

Plus OS6 is really annoying compared to OS5, it feels like Vista compared to XP

My opinion, OS6 on the 9700/9780 feels wrong.
Layout is redesigned for touch interface with fat fingers (vs slim lists using the scroll wheel or trackball/pads).

Also, OS6 on the 9700 will reduce the space available for installing apps, as well as increase the time it take to acquire a signal after dropping out.. elevator, or subway for example.

100% do not get OS6. Not needed at all. The 9700 is a very strong phone without it. It is very undervalued as well.
