Laptop temps

so what temps should my laptop be idling at... I've gathered that my AMD x2 QL-64 has a max temp of 100c so what should it idle at?

depending on ambient temp and the surface or rather the airflow its getting beneath? cpu temp with cnq on maybe 40's? load temps maybe 75-80?

My laptop came with 3 fans underneath. While folding it would get up to 95c, I modded a 4th fan to fit and that helped by about 5c. getting a zalman 1500 notebook cooler helped by another 10c, then switching to the new zalman 3000 cooler (big giant 220mm fan) droped another 10c. So now I can fold at 70c. Keep in mind this is a desktop cpu.

So I'd say the most important is to keep it elevated above a smooth hard surface, a cooler is very handy if you're not too mobile with it and tend to use it in the same place all the time.

edit: I also carry around a small 8" desk fan to make sure I dont have any heat build up on the desk behind the laptop.

lol well then I'm idling at 56 with a belkin cooler and before I cleaned this out I was idling above 70... still not good I guess I caused some permanent damage last time it overheated.
