Acer isnt That bad IMO. Yes their quality isnt as high as HP/Dell and others, but they make some decent budget systems that clearly uncut their prices.

Dell... Mmmmm Dell. What are they waiting for? Give me an 11-inch Adamo-style (or vostro v13 style) Fusion laptop and ill buy it instantly... lol

Hot damn... It might not be the latest and greatest, but for this price its an amazing deal:
Vostro V13 for $400!!!! Holy @#$@#$
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

Decisions decisions Kilauea

Edit:
Sorry, that V13 is us-only is seems... BUT:
The V130 is also on sale for $500, awesome!
Vostro V130 Laptop Details | Dell Canada

Could these low prices mean that Dell IS, in fact, releasing new Fusion notebooks or others?

The V13 doesn't appeal to me simply because of the non-replacable battery. :(

Thats a good point I suppose. But i just love the design... all the ports on the back, venting directly out the back... very thin and sleek. Dunno. "Buying a good small laptop" seems very, very difficult nowadays, lol.

The V130 is very appealing aside from the battery issue.
1: it is not removeable
2: it does not appear to last long enough

Alright, I hope new laptops appear in the near future, would make decision easier to make (or not).

More than likely it'll be more and more difficult... lol. I know it is for me (i've been looking for months for a good tablet/netbook for portability), and the headaches only increase, lol. At the same time its exciting, cause maybe your ideal "match" will come out soon

I had the same issues as you do. There are so many laptops out there but it seemsevery company is missing the boat when it comes to a combination of price, battery length and screen quality.

We'll keep our fingers unanimously crossed then for a good Dell offering
