LED v.s. CCFL?
I have noticed that a lot of decent laptops, at least in terms of power/hardware (what you get for the money) have come out in recent months but I am noticing that these machines still haven't moved to LED displays. I thought that this was going to be the next movement but still nope. Also, before you think I'm praising the manufacturers for the hardware in recent machines, I'm not. I was always criticizing that they're too cheap to have eSATA/USB combos like HP sometimes does and HP cuts corners with the best of them. But, there's no machines with USB 3.0 yet? Or nothing under $1000 with USB 3.0?
I am just wondering what the thought is on display screen quality of laptops especially these laptops that still have CCFL screens. I thought some $500 Acer laptops looked good but notice they aren't LED screens. Also, the hardware isn't all that up to date but at least the processors are i5 430M/460M which isn't bad for $500, right?
What's your thoughts on it?
