you should give a try to HP, Acer, Compaq, Gateway, Emachine then you will see what is a crappy CC.
Acknowledge that!

Heat affects all surrounding hardware add-ons in the laptop...Hard drives, network adapters, everything.

If you want a gaming laptop, I'd find one with two dedicated heatsinks/fans...one for CPU and one for the GPU.
On top of that, Id' rather have a laptop with a dedicated gfx chip (MXM format I think), so the little "daughter card" for the GPU can be replaced, not the whole motherboard...

Anyway, these Sagers seem to be really nice...

I would suggest the G73. I've tried one and my buddy has one, they are built like a tank with an awesome finish (rubbery/matte) and look amazing. 5870 should be enough for anything too. The keyboard kicks major ass.

So ASUS G73? By people's choice. ._.

Are gaming laptops? Can or is it okay to run them like 2-3 days without turning them off? like just idle and will be used in gaming for like 4-5hours.

I serisouly wouldn't do it unless you put a big fan udner to prevent heat. Laptop are made to be portable, run few hours, closed for the night etc. By the few question you asked I seriously see no point in getting a laptop instead of your tower. To me it's look like you are going to be disapointed. Also, since you look at a 17incher gaming laptop, it's no more portable. These thing are huge, wieght a lot and the power pack is like hugeeeeeeee.

Okay, Well most of the time im out with my friends ; at friends house. My reason for having a gaming laptop that i could bring outside ; to my friends house to play LAN ; online with them. As i've said ill be just running low rated games like warcraft ( Dota ), most will be SCII and HON. half of the time ill be using it just for surfing, forum and just chatting. I'll be just using it for gaming when im outside ; at friends house. Good?
