My System Specs

Default Laptop/Notebook - ($1000-$2000)

Hey, thanks for clicking... I am in need of your advice for buying a laptop for university. My friend is getting a macbook pro 13 inch and I must say, I cannot find anything that is as good (build quality wise) in the same price range.

What I like about the macbook is the front light apple logo, the design of keyboard (Chiclet keybaord), how the keyboard backlight thing lights up, and touch pad multi gestur thing. What I hate about macbook pro is the price for performance, I specifically hate the fact that the 13 inch book does not support any of the new intel family cpu's (why not i3). I also do not like how it does not have HDMI out.

If apple made macbook 13 inch with i3 or i5 i would buy it right now.

Please try and find a laptop for me with 14 inch screen or below. 14 is good because it is balance of high performance and portability.

I like HP ENVY but it is not as good as macbook pro right?

Build: i7-920, EVGA GTX 285, XFX X58i Extreme Edition , 2GB x 3 DDR3 - Patriot Viper, ThermalTake M9 V1000series, Ultra LSP 650w, Western Digital 500GB @7200rpm,
