Getting a laptop...

I'm looking at getting a laptop. I won't be gaming on it. I'll be shopping at Best Buy for this purchase. I have a $100 gift card and if I buy it on Monday, they have a preffered customer sale. If you buy one $1000 + you get $100 off. So I'm looking at a Toshiba that is $1099.99. So minus the gift card and the rebate it would cost me about $1050 with taxes. I wasn't planning on buying any extra warranty as it's pretty expensive $325/2yrs or $375/3yrs. Reminds me of when plasmas first came out.

So what do you think?

That laptop will game fine on med-high settings at 1280x??? (whatever it is at 16:9). For the price I'd say it's a fine machine. And with your gift card and deal it's a great price!

Only other machine I have seen with similar specs for that price that you can buy from a big box was an HP DV5 with a 9600M GT. If they still have them? And you can't use your card or BB deal so really this is the machine to get.

You could go a little cheaper if you are not interested in a decent graphics card. But I like the idea of a decent GPU, as more and more apps are starting to take advantage of them in other ways, not just games.
