I find this to be very interesting.

300 books all in that little thing. I bet it would eventually pay for itself since books are so expensive nowadays. My reading has gone down lately to about one to two books a month compared to 3 or 4 (too much gaming lately ) but I'd still like something like this. The ability to get the book instantly. The ability to carry a whole series around with you in one small package and read them all one after the other.

I think there are a lot of benefits to this.

$400 bucks is a bit steep for that reader, though.

I mean, couldn't you get an iPhone and read ebooks on there, plus all the other features, for the same price? (I hate iPhones, but just saying)

Very true.

I'm wondering if I could make the transition to ebooks...it would be strange, for sure.

TBH, the smell of old paper is what keeps me reading paper-based literature. I have a few ebooks, but still buy books second-hand.

Unfortunately, Seven Erikson isn't being published via ebooks yet. So, no reason for me to transition yet...

There's just something about holding the book in your hands...but that's probably just nostalgia and habit.

i'm looking at it because it is not backlit. I don't need my retina's bombarded any more than they already are.

I read in bed mostly, and having a backlight is neccesary for me...I use a little LED clip already, so don't mind so much...
