Heh... you're obviously not hanging out in HFX..... :)

My System Specs

Default Zalman VF-900

I believe the 8800GT's are great cards, but stock cooling is most certainly insufficient IMO.

Anyone try the VF-1000? I was looking at that, the VF-900 and Coolink GFX Chilla for my HD3870 in a media center.

Yep, my earlier suspicions seem to be verified: VF900Cu heat problem... - XtremeSystems Forums I think Zalman doesn't reliably produce heatpipes as some VF900s work extremely well, while others don't. I tested mine with hot water as well and the cooler took a long time to heat up. Anyway, I ordered an accelero s1 for $24 shipped from ncix yesterday!

well mine works perfectly that forum has people using it on ATI cards maybe the zalman cooler doest stay tight enough to the gpu core but then again 85 to 100 seems wayyyy too much. And tats from 2006 so i dont know if it holds the same relievance as it would today anyways mine works perfectly and im gonna mod it with a 120 mm fan soo stay tuned for that and yea i saw the Ac1 on sale in ncix so by all means get watevers cheapest for yea but i love my Zalman!

Ah yes, there's no doubt yours works well. My VF900 is also from 2006, actually, maybe they weren't that reliable back then. Rock on with your VF900, mine will go back to my trusty x800xt!
