Same chips, different manufacturer. Comes down to manu preference and price.

Thank you for mentioning this, I think I might buy a pair now. Though I hate these rebates. I wonder if the rebate is still valid after a PM
That would put the price of this RAM near the $100 mark should I ever see the money from Mushkin. Though I think I'm going to start boycotting poroducts with MIR now.......

I don't like MIR either, which is why i ordered another one of these kits:
Mushkin XP PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit - DirectCanada

They will clock to similar levels as this PC2-8000 kit does, & ni MIR to worry about.

Rebate is still valid after price match. I emailed NCIX and they said so.

Man... I still can't get these to run at the speeds you got them to. I can run them at 1000MHz.

I guess I need to lower my FSB and up the ratio or something.

I really, really hope Asus releases a new bios for the Maximus Formula soon with TRFC open...
