Default Belkin N52te Gamepad

Been a bit of a project doing this review, I wanted to keep it short and jam in as many useful points as possible. Been a bit of a learning experience setting up the shots and trying to structure it. the audio commentary is a bit poorly worded in places so I might play with it a bit more.

Watch in 1080p if you can!

updated! better audio includes overview of driver software

I have one and it isnt a Bad product once you map the keys , got to agree the joystick was the first thing to go on mine. I notice that yours seams to have a more purple coloring than mine. IDK if it is just the video though.
I actually us it for PS and a few other apps that are not games.

yeah I forgot to note that. it's the same colour, it's just the white balance of my lighting isn't neutral, either everythingnis yellow or the backlight gets thrown off.

Nice Video work.

My only complaint is the "Space" key. I actually had to tape 2 thick rubber feet on it, so I could hit it with my thumb.

Nice video.
If you want an alternative option for the finger cluster you mentioned, the SteelSerie keyboard rocks.

Maybe that could be your next review ;) Sort of a side by side comparison ;)

I've had mine for nearly 2 years, and I don't regret my purchase at all.
The Belkin you posted is now sold, or about to be sold, by Razer. Although Razer initially started the project with Belkin, they have completely taken over the product and have released, or are about to release, a new and improved version of the keypad you reviewed.

I have both the N52te and the merc stealth and have to say the Merc is far more comfortable than the Belkin but the belkin has a smaller footprint since I prefer to have my mouse and gamepad close to each other.

Another thing to note is windows7 64 SP1 broke the ZEngine for me, witch kinda sucks since I have used it rather than rebinding ingame, so now I need to rebind all my games controls.
Edit: Seams today's windows update for the MERC fixed ZEngine software for me.
/Edit

Both products have their + and - about them.

I remade the audio on my review and included an overview of the driver software as well.
