I picked this phone up yesterday and man i absolutely love it. It has no issues loading websites like Hwc (which isnt moble yet) as if i were on a computer. It may help that i'm on wifi right now but my Bold always took forever to process the information it got before it would display it. The galaxy s though seems to have lots of horse power and features. I've hardly gone through most of the phone but man its jammed packed. I highly recommmend this phone.

It's getting harder and harder to wait for Rogers to release their Galaxy S.

By the time they have theirs out, you might as well wait a couple more months for the next Galaxy S.

Glad that you like the phone as I do. It's a real little beast.

True, grab it now under bell if you can, with the upcoming update like android 2.2 froyo the phone will be even better.

I was reading on Engadget last night about this versus the Captivate (what Rogers is getting) and I'm curious, do you guys agree that Samsung's UI leaves it looking a bit cartoonish? They thought so, and also found various spelling/grammar errors as well. However only the Vibrant had these, Captivate had proper spelling/grammar. Perhaps Bell got the firmware cleaned up before releasing it here?

In case you haven't seen it: Samsung Galaxy S review shootout: Captivate for AT&T and Vibrant for T-Mobile -- Engadget

I just don't know what I want to get. Either a Galaxy S phone or the HTC Desire. Tough choice. However I don't think I really want to be tied into Bell, so that would rule out the Vibrant...

Well Bell's version is not the same as T-Mo's.

the one problem with going with Bell is I would need to cancel my contract with Rogers, and likely wouldn't be able to get as good a new deal through Bell than I would through calling retentions at Rogers.

I'd have to pay around $500 for it... T_T

I'm also trying to do a HUP to iPhone 4 and get 6GB data. However with the stock level for the iPhone right now, I might just get 6GB data and wait for the revised iPhone 4 to come out on September 30. But then again, I don't even need the Galaxy S or 6GB data...

For the look yes it's a bit cartoon but I do like it. It make the phone feel more friendly to me. As for the spelling, Never noticed it since I don't spend my free time looking at my cell phone grammar. Finally, I have been for the past year with few other phone carrier and bell is for now from far the best with roger, but here I simply hated the way roger have a good signal in town but when crossing out of the centre-ville, nothing -_-...

Interesting... my mom's willing to pay for a $500 phone, which in this case is the SGS. Never expected that.

How's the T9 feature? I sometimes text with one hand so when I do that, I'd have to use T9. I understand there's Swype, but Swype requires two hands. As of right now, I love T9 on my Sony Ericsson W715 as I can type really fast and accurately without looking.
