In movies, you are watching the violence. But in games, you are participating IN the violence.

Sorry, the difference between video games and movies is huge. In a video game, it is you that pulls the trigger. You that takes the decision to kill an innocent or take the roll of a terrorist or run over someone with your car. You don't play a spectator like you do in the movies.

Enjoying WATCHING is different from enjoying DOING it. In addition, if someone admits enjoying watching the Beslan school shooting or the recent Indian terrorist attacks, I would think they have a real issue with it. The same goes for movies.

I don't know about this generation of people but it is that small amount of shock and disgust that keeps me watching a movie and hoping the "bad guy" gets what he deserves.

On the other hand, taking the roll of the terrorist or street thug disgusts me to no end...and rightly so.

Mark, there's a mission in the game where you play an undercover agent and yes, you go through an airport killing civilians and security. The game also gives you and option to skip it the very first time you load up the game, and a second time when the mission comes along in the story line.

Gah, ninja'd.

So where is the time where you was killing bad guy in COD.

Do you think all the peoples who was buying that game last Xmas know about it ?

I personally play shooter game to keep good reflex ( at 49 it's start to count) , but I don't think I have practice to kill people in an airport.

Sorry but there is absolutely NO difference to enjoying watching violent movies and enjoying playing violent video games. To use your argument SKYMTL, YOU chose to rent a sick movie watching helpless people die. You can justify it any way you like, but they are one in the same.

Here SKYMTL

Hello Kitty Online

The only problem with violence in games IMO is that some people are mentaly inapt to play these game since they aren't capable of making a difference between the game and reality (where much much worst thing happen sometimes tho )
