Ya definitely slow, with those WD,s you should be getting more than that. I have 2 older 500GB 7200.10 drives and get results below.

I think the decimal point for your burst numbers got moved

LOL, ya I know seems this happens on some raid configs with HD Tune and others.

I wouldn't say gems(no offence ). Here's my 6400AAKS(before they were labelled "blue"). This is using a GA P35-DS3L and the ICH9 controller on XP-Pro(32).

This is my average result:



I don't know why, but i got this exceptionally-high result once(check out the seek time)...
