I have the 900 and I was tempted to take my dremel to it before I put all my components in.
I installed the PSU last and that certainly did not help the bad cable management situation.
If I get any spare time coming up I am tempted to remove everything and put in the PSU first and that would make it much easier to organize.

I LOVE my 900. It's a great looking case - I didn't realize how much it lacked in cable management however, having always worked with other cases that had no cable management either. This changed when I bought my dad a CM 690 - it still had a couple of things I'd change - in particular, trying to run an old IDE HD and DVD burner didn't work out so well - my dad's motherboard only has one IDE port, and with a standard IDE cable, there's just no way the HD and DVD burner can run off the same cable with the sideways HD trays. However, new systems with all SATA drives won't have this problem.

I ALMOST wished I had bought myself the CM 690 and gave my dad my Antec 900. If I were to get myself a new case again, I'd probably go with the 690. If money weren't an issue, I'd get the 900 - it's harder to set up, but it's not like I'm always under the hood changing things, so I can deal with the lack of cable management. That said - my dad's 690 cost $45 less than my 900 - and for that difference in money, I'd much rather have the 690.

Very VERY few people will recommend the Antec 900.

Its one of the most poorly designed cases and the CM 690 outperforms it in any way possible.

I recommend the 900, but after seeing first hand my friends 690, I have to say the 690 was the better case. There are still worse cases out there than the 900, so it is still recomened by me, just not when pitted against the 690.

thx!

The one I reviewed was the 900, not the 900 Two.

I find the 900 a wonderful case to play with. The only thing that really bugs me right now is the lack of dust filters, which got fixed by the 902.
My next one will be a 1200 that I will nicely modify as well.
I like the simple design of those antecs.
Form follows Function

If I were to buy a new case I think it would be the CoolerMaster Scout. I like the look of it. I wouldn't consider the 1200 just because of the price. That's too muhc of my budget of a new build gone on a case.

yes, the lack of filters is a pain, I installed filters myself, but in order to clean them I have to unscrew 32 screws (!)

thinking of CoolerMaster Scout but with fans changed to blue (blue for cooling).
maybe Lian Li for brushed look to match my monitor.

The Scout looks nice, but then, it doesn't have 2 fans in front. The one it has has restricted air flow since the hard drive cage is facing side ways.
Now, if someone provides me with a garage and tools, locks me up in there for 2 days, I will perfect the 900.

I like how the scout looks like though.

Those are the filters that fit perfectly over Antec 900 front fans, got them from NCIX:

Hm, beautiful!
I will hunt for those then, to make my life easier.
