Default anyone heard anything on the coming Mac Mini refresh?

I've got one and the only reason I use it is I upgraded to an SSD....the 4GB of RAM it's got is crud.

be nice to see something using the quad core mobile or low power desktop CPU's though!

No news on that and I suspect they may kill it altogether.

rumors currently say it hasn't been abandoned, and point to an update sometime next year, but that's literally all the information out there atm

Hmm next year could mean they may use their own ship instead of Intel in those things.

so, reading more about Apple and 'their' chips, it seems that they are adding co-processors that take care of singular/dedicated tasks. continuing to use Intel would make sense...so here's hoping they adopt something like the Intel APU with AMD graphics or maybe even a Ryzen 5 APU.

Don't know if they will go Ryzen but if they will supporting 8th gen with Vega then my next Hackintosh would be interesting.
