I work with a guy that is convinced that Apple uses higher quality components than 90% of Windows machines out there.

When commenting on the "quality" of the new Apple ram he installed in his Macbook pro, he said verbatim, "You could tell its better than the cheaper stuff just by looking at the chips on it!".

The pain in the ass part is that he's a smart guy and knows his was around computers, for the most part. For some reason he secretly believes Apple has contracts with all computer component manufacturers to sell, to only THEM, the "highest quality parts" and no one else.

My 4.5ghz i7 rig with a gtx 670 will forever pale in comparison to his higher quality core duo mac mini.

I found this pretty amusing. It's fine to like Apple, but there's definitely an aspect of rabid fanboyism to groups of Apple owners at times. It reminds me of Truck/car owners that bash any brand other than their own (usually without having ever tried the competition).
