Default iPad 3 as a monitor

For anyone who may care - Air Display: make an iPhone, iPad or Mac an external monitor.

It does work with the iPad 2 - but the reason I mention it specifically for the iPad 3 is the resolution is much much higher making it actually useful. I have mine on a little stand under my monitor at an angle and I can keep my conversations there (in addition to the two monitors I have on the sides) or while gaming I can have a strat open or what have you.

Works very well surprisingly.

My System Specs

Yeah a lot of people use this with Tegra 3 devices to play higher end games.

For example one of my buddies set his up so while he was in class he could play LoL on his PC from his tablet. So he could sit in class and basically stream himself playing LoL. The things you can do with tablets are pretty sweet these days.
