Default Apple TV ????

Its a device you can connect to your T.V, you are then able to buy or rent HD movies(it has other features aswell) I was wondering if anyone here in Canada is using this. I know I was all excited when I thought I could rent movies on my ps3 only to find out that the service was not available in Canada, I hate going to Blockbuster and not interested in ordering movies through the mail, this device looks really neat. Feed back would be appreciated.

Apple - Apple TV - HD movies, shows, music, and more. Couchside.

I believe it runs through iTunes. So anything you can purchase or rent on iTunes, you will be able to rent on your Apple TV

There supposedly is a new AppleTV out here soon. The older AppleTV leaves a lot to be desired.

don't buy the appletv .. it's very very slow. you might as well just invest the money into a mac mini if you're planning on building a media centre. Now XBMC works on an AppleTV too, but as I said, it's slow - we streamed a 1080p ripped bluray on it once and, .. stopmotion effect isn't that great as it looks in music videos haha xD

I can stream 1080P movies with a simple netbook. mac mini is good enough as well but a lot more expensive than a decent netbook.
