iPad could definitely be handy in a one to one sales presentation. We've thought about that here where I work. But really in our case I think it would be better to have a tablet on another platform. The bible apps made me chuckle.

Bible apps? Sounds pretty cool! You could like, shake the iPad and cities will crumble as if it were the End Days!

Lol well lets not get this into a religion thread as well all know where those end up....

But speaking for bible apps. There are some great ones that not just have every translation and stuff like that, but if you click on a verse it brings up every major thing written about that verse. Like the history, notes, and stuff.

There aren't any bible games yet that I know of and I hope it stays that way.

Seems the iPad overloads DHCP servers.

Nice job Apple for not designing your networking support to spec .

For those wondering what the actual problem is, the iPads are not releasing IP addresses once the DHCP lease is up, which means that if the DHCP server assigns the same IP address to a new machine, it will create an IP conflict and both the iPad and the new machine could be left without access.

Hmm that would then throw out the argument that it will be good to be used at college/university of they are banned, will only take time before canadian universities follow suite. Network stability is a lot more important to a network (hell i bet you they ban the iPad at public wireless hot spots too) then supporting the newest craze from apple.

Sounds like a bug that may get fixed, unless there is another reason why Apple did it.

If Apple issues a fix, they would have to make sure it is pushed out automatically and not as an option; otherwise, the ban will spread, and IT depts will not want to have to support iPads and make sure they are patched before letting them join the network.

Pretty massive fail IMO, as it is way harder to 'un-blacklist' a device on a large corporate network than to put a new device on it in the first place. First impressions, they say.

I am going to the States to buy a few and sell them on Ebay this Wednesday.

Well I am not going to buy any this Wednesday because the profit margin is too low to be worth it. After all the hidden fees I would only make about $100 per iPad and that isn't worth it.

There are like a thousand iPad's on ebay and that has drove the price so far down.

Wait till Xmas. Just like Wii and PS3 these will probably still be a hot item then. Unless of course the world wakes up and realizes no one actually needs one of these things, lol.
