Entering the Mac World

Blasphemy? Foolishness?

I decided to take the plunge into the world of Mac. I plan to teach myself the iPhone OS and learn how to make apps. I ordered up a 2.53GHz Mini with a few peripherals thru the Apple Store and hopefully will receive it soon. I still cannot justify the prices on any of their other models thus the Mini. I wasnt even drunk when I clicked the 'buy' button! lol. A bunch of hardcore Windows/PC only friends of mine made the switch and now say they wonder why they never changed earlier.

I'm looking forward to it.

It take 10 days when I order my Imac to receive it. I buy one to learn new thing and to keep updated. But guy..it's a pain in the ...not because it's bad . it's good but nothing is at the same place. I have no problem to find where they are , but it's not an automatic reflex...I have also the same problem with my linux and especially my Office 2007 , it's funny but I found the networking more easy on an Apple an Linux, and thinks don't get better with Vista and Windows 7 .

No regrets for me :thumb:

I guess they weren't very "hardcore Windows/PC only" to begin with then, eh?

i was... but then i was forced to use a mac against my own will.. i learned to like them.. infact they had this odd thing about them.. they never seemed to break... i soon saw a lack of employment hitting me in my future.. lmao then i learned apple command line and such.. its all the same unix commands.. i love their OS's and i still love my windows comps... i was able to set up a website on my mac by clicking a button.. and using iweb.. check it:

My P2P Trip

they are wonderful tools

Just splitting hairs here, but if you are "hardcore" to Windows only, then you would have simply said "it sucked" regardless of your experience and then would just be a PC fanboi instead of a Mac one.

They're programmers and web designers and for what they do needed to be able to test stuff on both platforms. So now they are on either Macbook Pros or Mac Pros running Virtualbox with Windows out of 'convenience'. And these friends don't know each other. Weird in a way.

Eh i still dont consider them hardcore Windows/PC users as they wouldnt care if it was compatible or worked properly using safari in apple town. I call heresy

Also since this just all me joking in a post, what is your ratio?
