Well after watching the videos on the apple store and reading some reviews I am convinced that I will buy one when the price drops or when I get my tax refund which ever comes first. It is an amazing product for what it does and when the apps are made for it it is better than a net book. Net books do a lot of crappy this the iPad does a few things extremely well. I also think it will be a lot of fun and enjoyable. Just wish it had a camera. Flash is dead to me and only like 2 things I do need flash and one of them is a facebook game so I don't care about flash.

My brother is thinking about selling his macbook pro and getting an iPad and an iMac instead and would be about the same cost and can do everything he wants on the go still. Although he is going to wait either for a 128GB or 256GB version with the obvious improvements like a front facing camera.

ya the current models have a camera slot in them but it was taken out so people would buy the camera version which is sad.

Well if you have 500$ and want the best damn information appliance that you could buy... and the will to travel south to get it you will be one happy camper with that thing :P

I might be to make it an ereader, but again I like reading better off real books than pdf (and I like seeing my personal library growing :P).

Not at that price. I would pay $200 for something like this for the use I would get out of it. I doubt I will see it at that price...
