Default graphics card power consumption

hello, im from portugal, in my country we care about power consumption because we pay 23% of IVA in the eletricity bill so we are all time screwed

i cant have any GPU, im thinking on this graphics cards:

i searchead on many websites, and i still dont have any conclusion because every one have a different result..

i need change my nvidia 9600gt 512mb that uses 59W(eco version=lol), my system is:

core 2 duo e8400 3.0ghz | 2gb ddr2|, |motherboard foxconn|, |display LG 18.5 LED 1360x768|

my cpu is good to me, i dont want change cpu,
i will change my "normal" power supply to corsair cx430, how many watts can i gain with this change?

what you think about this 3 graphics cards, with the resolution that i use what GPU can i buy that dont use more than 100watts, and low in IDLE,

can you make a video with this 3 graphics cards to know what power consumption they really use? what gpu should i buy? can be another, but i want a good gpu mutch better than my 9600gt,

thanks, sorry for my english

Out of your choices, the 6850 uses the least amount of power.

Check out these sites :
Radeon HD 6850 vs Radeon HD 7770 – Performance Comparison Benchmarks @ Hardware Compare
& GeForce GTX 550 Ti vs Radeon HD 6850 – Performance Comparison Benchmarks @ Hardware Compare
It shows plenty of comparisons (Power Consumption, Memory Bandwidth etc) with the graphics cards you have mentioned.

Actually the 7770 uses the least amount of power.

The GTX 550Ti and Radeon 6850 will use substantially more power than the 7770, the 7770 only needs the PCI-E power connector for all of 10watts, it uses ~85watts at load. The 6850 and 550Ti on the other hand both cross the 100watt barrier and both use around the same at load. Performance wise the 7770 or 6850 will run circles around the 550Ti, it just can't compete to the AMD cards. Also the new 7000 series from AMD uses less than 10watts of power at idle.

In this price range you're better off getting something from AMD if power consumption is a concern. Alternatively, you could wait a few months and see if NVidia releases a replacement for the GTX560 or GTX550 using their new architecture.

From the cards you listed, I'd get the 7770. You could actually get a 7750 which doesn't even need a PCI-E power connection and uses ~60watts at load.

The power supply you listed is fine, but I would get something from Antec, Seasonic, XFX, PC Power and Cooling, or anything that uses a Seasonic platform. The new CX series from Corsair was made by FSP and has some ripple issues. Try looking at the Antec High Current Gamer 400 or 520, Antec Earthwatts 430, Seasonic S12II 430 or 520, PC Power and Cooling Silencer MKIII 400 or 500, or the XFX Core Edition PRO 450 or 550.

Thanks and I hope this helps.

The 7770 is hands down the lowest power user of the bunch if that's what you value.
