A lot of expensive parts to put into an AMD rig... An i5 2500k rig would give you a lot more longevity.

I second a SB build. Where are you located? If its in CA - you can PM most of your stuff.

Here's a Z68 mobo + 8GB ram

Another i5 vote, looks fair enough, but quad cored AMD rigs can't keep up to the newer demanding games, where the i5 thrives :)

That particular mobo? Yes. Brought my dad's 2600k to 4.2 Ghz w/o any hiccups but i brought it back to stock since he only have the ECO cooling.

And he has 16GB Corsair RAM as well.

If it was my build I would:

1. Swap to a i5 2500k and Z77 based motherboard (I am an AMD fan, but they are simply not in the gaming world anymore for serious computers).
2. Drop the NIC (the minimal benefits aren't worth the cost IMO)
3. Find a better price on a hard drive.
4. Put the savings from the above towards a better and newer graphics card (480 is good for the price, but way to much power consumption and heat output for my liking). Go for an HD 7870/ HD 7950, GTX 570, or (if it was me) wait just a bit longer for Nvidia to release its next few cards that likely includes a GTX 670.

I'm currently having no problem running BF3 and Skyrim on Ultra settings, so I have NO idea what you're talking about.

Keep in mind that I'm not saying the 2500K isn't a better processor than any current AMD quad core (because it is), just that a higher end Phenom II is more than capable of playing any PC game currently out there, and probably a good many to come.
