650d water cooled build tips

im doing a 650 d water cooling build, i can't decide what to do with the pumps(serial or parallel) rads(dual 120+200+120 or dual 120+200 or even modding the case to allow a dual 120 instead of 200) i have a res, it's a dual 5.25 bay koolance res/pump housing. will be using swiftec evga HC2 blocks for the 580's, not sure what to use for the cpu yet. not sure what thickness of rads to use or what brand. if you can;t tell im kind of new to the WC scene

case: Corsair 650d
psu: Coolermaster 1000w
cpu: I7 2600K @ 4.5
gpu: dual gtx 580
ram: g.skill ripjaws 2x4GB 1600
mobo: Gigabyte P67A-UD5 B3
hdd: western digital 1tb black


Any suggestions?

Here is my 650D build. 240mm in the top and a 120mm rad in the back. Cools my 2500k@4.6 and OC'd gtx590 no problem.That pic is when I had an i7 920 x58. No mods were needed but get low profile fans.

One loop. Either a 2x120mm or a 2x140mm radiator up top. Then a 1x180mm radiator up front. The Magicool 1x180mm radiator is cheaper and will do just as well of a job. I wouldn't bother w/ a radiator at the back of the case.

looks nice, mine will be a bit more tidy, but i get the concept thx. now will the 200 be enough to cool the gpu's?would i need the 120 in the back?. should i do a parallel or a serial loop? thx

so i should just do a single loop, with one pump? or dual pump? and will the 180 be enough to cool 2xgtx580's overclocked? and an i72600k@4.5?

The 180mm + the 2x140mm or 2x120mm will be. What reservoir do you specifically have? If it is for DDCs you could grab two MCP35x. Then run them @ 20% via PWM. That way you get redundancy + extremely quiet pump operation.

i have the koolance rp 452x2 rev 2.0. its the one with the mcp655 support. ill be getting the pumps with the adjustable speed controller and run them on low. So....redundancy as in just a single loop with dual pumps?

correct. just in case of failure, the second is still on the loop.
tell me this, your video card is air or in the loop?
i assume your 4.5 overclock is on air cooling?
if you are going to just do CPU cooling, a simple 240 (50-60mm) thick rad will be an excellent choice.
if you are daring to include the GPU in the loop, then possible a 180 front rad tied into the 240 roof.
cleaner, less clutter, and conforms to the case lines and side. just an idea since it is the first loop
you are attempting.

well i have an h70 on the cpu now, the gpus will be getting blocks. i'm thinking about getting the evga hc2 blocks. i want to go with a custom loop cus i want it to look 'custom' lol
