Default iPad 3 on iOS 7.1.1 worth updating?

I've got this old iPad that seems to run fine but will hang up with the spinning download logo from time to time, otherwise I only use it for basic web surfing, skype, not much. I don't know much else about apple products, do any other users think it's worth updating to the newest iOS ? It's telling me 8.4 is ready to install.

My System Specs

Default

honestly I have always updated my apple products (iphone and family ipad mini) and I have never had an issue. I would do it. If the device is too slow for the hardware then apple doesn't roll it out for that product...generally.
