i tunes question

ok i have one central music library. and both my wife and myself have our own computers, and several Idevices. my question is. how can i set up itunes on the various systems so that 1. it all pulls from the same source.
2. any idevice can sync from any system.

now the media is sitting on a WHS box. so would it make sense to put itunes on that and just remote destop to it and do all the syncing from there?
