id Unleashes Impressive Rage On The iPhone

Holy crap didn't expect the iPhone to be able to pull that off. Can't wait for id to release rage on iPhone although I don't know how good of a game it will be.

One word... eh... name: John Carmack.

Hail to his coding greatness! :punk:

enaberif August 12, 2010 05:34 PM

John is a God when it comes to these things.

And really this has nothing to do with Rage on a iphone its more about how well this project can be scaled from something large scale as a pc to that of an iphone.

_dangtx_ August 12, 2010 05:46 PM

that name rings a bell. rage? not so much. lets see the vid..

You live under a rock if you don't know the name John Carmack or even Rage.

You should quit posting around here dangtx and go start doing some reading on things to educate yourself.

That looks insane for an iPhone game. That dood has mad skills.

Zero82z August 12, 2010 06:45 PM

It looks really good for an iPhone game, but the best engine in the world can't get around the fact that a touchscreen is just an outright shitty control device for the vast majority of games.

John Carmack father of the fps. but ya dude are you that old ( dangtx ). kidding. scaling is all that matters when it come to the business of game production. think about it if you game plays on anything then you can lic/sell to every manufacture out there. as i wait for rage :thumb:

For FPS it can be amazing if done right. Hell I'd rather play it on an iPhone than a console. I rock at playing Wolf3D on my iPod.

Yup I am also good at that game and somewhat good at NOVA as well. Once you get used to it it is not as bad as one would think. Although I wish they would release an official accessory or something.
