This is pretty good. What is the theory behind this? (seriously)

I'm going to guess that the area where the picture is placed has great signal, and thus the signal is "forwarded" towards the iPhone due to the bending of the glossy paper.

theres no way a picture placed near the iphone can influence reception so much. if that were true me sneezing during a conversation would prove disastrous.

I'm going with option n.1. Interesting theory

It's a possible theory. I've seen sites featuring mods that people do to their routers involving a pringles can to turn their wireless router's antenna into a directional antenna in order to boost the wireless signal.

Yup, I wasn't being sarcastic when I said I was opting for your theory over Dan's!

Still thinking of picking this up. Anyone care to share their thoughts on the reception in real life? I would imagine the reception is OK in cities, but how about rural areas?

I forgot to tell you Chris that I bought one a month or so ago. No dropped calls, reception is generally better then my 3G was.

I was up at the cottage this weekend, usually I just get edge at 1 bar, I was pulling 3G 1 bar this time. A+

Perfect! You are in my area so this is helpful.

Have you found any dead spots in the GTA?
