Default iOS4 woes

Well, after upgrading to iOS4, I lost data capabilities. Only solution was a restore to factory settings.

So this is a big "F*ck You" directed at Apple. Test your sh*t next time.

Apple also released a carrier update, most people who had data networks only had to reset their network settings and let itunes update it. Which provider are you using?

Sounds like when they had that update for their OSX where it would cause users to lose their data.

Can't say i've ever had windows do this, sorry to hear that it happened to you.

I'm with Bell. I saw the carrier update after installing iOS4. Strangely enough, the phone worked great yesterday (right after the update). I even closed-restarted it a few times to make sure everything was kosher. But this morning, no go...

Hmmm, I'll hunt through the MR forum, there's a rather large Canadian crew around there, with a variety of our carriers, maybe some of them have had the same thing or figured out what was going on.

well, the update to 4.0.2 actually bricked my 3GS. I'm still on the 4.0.1 as we speak. I'll probably try 4.0.2 again or jailbreak it this week end.
