Lightbulb Free Texting App?

Hey Guys,

I got an iPhone for Christmas and since then I have been trying to find an app that allows me to send free text messages. All the apps I have tried so far only work in the US and some are web apps which don't seem to work very well. Could you guys please recommend a good app. Thanks a lot!

Shouldn't unlimited text messages come with your iPhone plan?

I actually bought my iPhone 3G 32GB from fido for $499 and since I paid the extra $200, I don't need to pay the data fee. I decided to only get the voice plan because the places I spend most of my day have wifi, therefore I end up saving $800 over the course of 3 years which is a lot. So doe anybody have any recommendations?

I'm pretty sure the only ones that are free are web-based. IE: they use the recipient's eMail to receive the text. Not exactly the most efficient. Personally, I don't mind the extra $20/month for text plan. Saves me $ on the actual calls I'd be making instead.

Okay, thanks for that info. Are there any good paid apps that you can think of that you can buy off the app store in the price range of $1-$15? I don't mind having to pay that one time fee for unlimited texting for the life of my iPhone. Thanks again guys!
