I just tried the android version of this and it seems to pick up all the UPCs of items (water bottle, belgian chocolate, shoppers item). Hell it even reads text quite well.

It does work, but the results are only US-based stores. I'll dig deeper in the Apps, I like what you found. Thanks.

For those old school DOS gamers you may want to pick up the port or Raptor: Call of the Shadows. It is pretty well done and only $1.99 IIRC.
