G0 stepping C2Ds have a 100C Tjunction, as shown in CoreTemp 0.95, your version of SpeedFan is still using the 85C Tjunction that previous stepping C2Ds use, hence 15C exactly lower. If you were to open up CoreTemp 0.94, you would see a Tjunction reported as 85C and the temps would be the same as SpeedFan.
CoreTemp 0.95 is correct, SpeedFan is wrong...perhaps an update to SpeedFan is available that will recognize the G0 as a 100C Tjunction and show correct temps. Or you could simply offset the temps manually by +15C and it will show them correctly. HTH
Thanks for the info. I have the same problem. Speedfan is 15c lower than coretemp 0.95. I have the latest Speedfan which is 432 i think.
BTW: Unklmo, you do know that you can get Orthos Beta which will stress Dual cores so you'll have to run only 2x Orthos ?
Doesn't the new Prime95 take care of all cores?
Not sure. I just downloaded the latest a few days ago and it does not.... AFAIK
