I've been mulling this over as well, for a possible Linux/Steam machine build. Between Ubuntu, OpenOffice, XBMC and Cabrio as an Emulator front end I think I have most of what I want covered, but I'm curious if there's some great finds people have run across. I'd love to find a really good open source alternative to Corel Draw X4/5.

Can't say I have ever tried, but I will follow this thread for reference. The only thing open I run is open office right now.

Running OpenElec(XBMC) on a AMD version of the Zotac ZBOXNANO-AD12. They have a specific distribution on their site for this exact model of Zotac. Boots up in seconds, very happy with the performance of XBMC.
