My System Specs

Default New HTPC Case

So I want a new HTPC case. These are the specs I need:

ATX mobo compatible
ATX Powersupply compatible
Able to fit an H80i
Capacity for 3x 3.5" HDD's
Capacity for 2x 2.5" SSD's
Potential to fit a shorter graphics card in the future.
USB 3.0, etc

I DON"T need a CD/DVD drive, but a multi-card reader at the front would be nice.

I've narrowed it down to two cases:

Fractal Design Node 605: Fractal Design Node 605 HTPC Case w/ USB 3.0, Firewire, Black at Memory Express

or the

Silverstone GD07: Silverstone GD07 HTPC Case, Black at Memory Express

AT this point I'm leaning more towards the Node 605, mostly for build quality...

Why a full ATX board layout? What do you have in the slots?

As for build quality, I'd give Silverstone a slight edge there. I like my Node 304 because it fits an ATX PSU, but the fit and finish on my wife's Sugo is better.

Yeah there is definitely a few quirks about the Node 304 that is annoying especially having to gain access to the front fans. But other than that it unfortunately won't work for him as he wants front access for card reader and such.

I'm going to be using my existing ATX Z77 motherboard and I don't want the expense right now of buying a new m-ITX motherboard.

I'm looking at reviews, and finding out that I won't be able to use my H80 or any tower cooler with these cases. Which, is a shame. I may have to get a low-profile cooler. Not because I'm overclocking, but because I want this system to be quiet!

The Node 605 has a card reader built in...but a card reader wouldn't make or break my decision.

That would explain it. Take the Node 605, it'll be easier to build in.
