Default Good DVD decoder ?

Hi,

I have a quick question I have a HTPC and I am currently using WinDVD7 to play my DVD's. But it seems that the video quality is inferior to my standalone DVD player. Would the DVD decoder software cause this ?

System Specs

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe
BFG 7800GS 256MB
1GB PC3200

Thanks !

You could give PowerDVD a shot. WinDVD has since been bought by Corel and v9 of it is out. Could just be that your running such an old version that it can't fully utilize the video card.
