Next PVR software? Alternatives?

Anyone have experience with Next PVR:
NextPVR | A free PVR and Media Centre application for Windows

I am thinking of getting a Hauppauge Colossus and hooking it up to a Rogers digital HD box. Seems that Next PVR is compatible with the Colossus and its' IR blaster.

I just want to record shows in digital and/or HD. Would be nice if I could stream live TV as well.

The analog option I have been using with SageTV is not doing it anymore. I might try to get Sage working with the Colossus, but I have to start looking at other options due to Google dropping Sage TV.

As far as I know you can't pvr digital cable anymore due to restrictions.

You can still record via component.

You might want to see if the Collossus has good support w/ whatever software before buying. It was years before my Haupauuge HD PVR was worth a damn because of poor drivers/support. You can still use SageTV too.
