My System Specs

Hi gang
I have been trying to set up xbmc on my htpc to try it out but it say's that I am missing d3dx9_42.dll ,
I have downloaded it a couple of times and reinstalled it several times with no luck. any ideas would sure be apreciated .thanks

What version of xbmc are you trying to install, what is the operating system you are using, and what are the system specs?

It's ver 9.11 on Win 7 Home Premium x64, 4 gb ram ,5770 , I3 550 , gigabite mobo., Lian-Li PC-C34F, 3 WD Green 2TB storage , Phoenix pro 60GB ssd for operating system. I know it's got to do with directx but when I go to Microsoft and try to reinstall directx I get directx error messages and it won't install. ( clean install ????)
