My System Specs

Default Asus O!play air streaming

Recently purchased an o play air was wondering if anybody else has problems streaming bluray on it seems to chop/ lag terribly on a wired/ wireless conection.

There is no way your gonna get blu-ray to stream flawlessly over a wireless connection.

If its lagging over a wired connection you should take a look at your router.

I recently bought an O Play and had the same issues on a gigibit wired network (network is through a 16 port gigabit switch) so I bought a Patriot Boxoffice on sale and same problem as well as some DVD's so I built an HTPC , Muuuuuch better.

Yup, most of these devices either lack the hardware to handle high bitrate files over lan/wireless, or there's just poor optimization, either way, an Acer Revo or htpc is the best route if you want stutter free high bitrate videos over lan.

well i seem to have gotten it to work i just plugged my external hard drive to it directly and its working perfectly... sucks though have to disconnect load movies all the time.
