No plans of running linux, rather windows 7 instead as my htpc/server can handle it.

After reading your guide and installing XBMC myself, I'd have to say Transparency! as well. Took me a bit to get it looking like yours, but it's a damn good looking skin once you get all the proper fanart and whatnot going (I used Ember Media Manager as mentioned in another thread since the files are on my PC and streamed over there). Although, it's easy to tell XBMC wasn't made for a 4:3 screen, doesn't look too great overall.

Does XBMC play regular DvD ISOs? I have some of my movie collection (red vs blue) that i've ripped onto ISOs so that i would have a digital copy. Or do i need to rip them from the ISOs into their respective video files. I ask as i want the extras on there.

the old Vista Home Premium HTPC needs a tune, so it's getting a Win7 upgrade. This thread inspired me to give XBMC a try. Thx Arinoth.

No problem grinder and yeah, noticed no issues playing my dvd iso's on xbmc. The only DvD isos i have are the Red vs Blue saga as i enjoy the extra features in them
